About CAATS

The Centre for Quality Assurance of Technological Applications in the Medical Field (CAATS) was created in May 1989, instigated by Medical Physicists and Radiologists.
This structure originated from the need felt by its founding members to establish a facility for research and consulting work to ensure the most rational use of radiological techniques.
The specific area of activity of CAATS concerns the development of quality assurance programme and studies in medical diagnostic radiology. Works are undertaken in this field with a view to both optimize imaging technique performances and reduce the associated radiological risk. CAATS has established links with national institutions :

Besides the research work carried out for these various organisations, CAATS provides Quality Control services to interested private companies, administrative bodies and professional medical organisations.
